Right at Hand
Terms of Service
Last updated: 30 September 2026
Right at Hand is operated by UpWeb Pty Ltd in Australia.
These terms are the agreement between you and UpWeb Pty Ltd for using Right at Hand. They are written in plain English to match how the product actually works today: the Free plan is open to anyone who signs up, and paid service starts only under separately agreed written terms. They are drafted by the product team and are not personalised legal advice to you.
1. The agreement
By creating an account, applying for founding access, or using Right at Hand, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you use Right at Hand on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind it, and "you" includes that company.
2. Plans and access today
- The Free plan is publicly available and self-service: you can sign up for it yourself, it costs $0, it includes 40 AI-assisted emails each month and one connected mailbox, and no credit card is required to use it.
- Paid service is not self-service today: there is no paid checkout, card capture or in-product cancellation flow in the product. Paid plans are advertised on our website, and starting a paid plan requires separately agreed written terms (see section 9).
- The product is under active development. Features may change, improve or be withdrawn as the product matures, and we will communicate significant changes to active users.
3. Accounts, eligibility and Gmail authority
- You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account.
- You may only connect a Gmail account that is yours or that you are authorised to connect on behalf of your organisation. Connecting someone else's mailbox without authority is a breach of these terms.
- Right at Hand is a business tool and is not directed at children.
4. Google accounts and services
Gmail features depend on the access you grant through Google. Your relationship with Google is governed by Google's own terms, and our use of Google APIs is governed by Google's policies, including the Limited Use requirements described on the Gmail permissions page.
You can revoke Right at Hand's Google access at any time (see Data deletion). We are not responsible for changes, limits or outages in Google's services that affect the product.
5. AI assistance and your responsibility
Right at Hand prepares suggested replies, summaries and analysis using AI. AI output can be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable, and we do not guarantee its accuracy, completeness or fitness for any purpose.
The product is built around human review: you are responsible for reviewing every message — its wording, recipients and attachments — before you send it, and for everything you send. AI output is not professional, legal or financial advice.
6. Acceptable use
You must not use Right at Hand to:
- break the law, infringe others' rights or send deceptive communications;
- send spam or bulk unsolicited email;
- distribute malware or attempt to compromise the service or other tenants;
- probe, bypass or overload security and rate limits, or access data that is not yours;
- resell or provide the service to third parties without our agreement.
We may suspend or restrict accounts that put the service or others at risk.
7. Your content and our licence to it
You own your content — your email, business knowledge, writing samples, projects and everything else you bring. You grant UpWeb Pty Ltd a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process, transmit and display that content solely to operate and provide the service to you — including sending relevant context to our AI provider when you use AI features, as described in the Privacy Policy.
We do not sell your content and we do not use it for advertising.
8. Our intellectual property
The Right at Hand software, design and brand belong to UpWeb Pty Ltd and its licensors. If you give us feedback, we may use it to improve the product without obligation to you.
9. Fees
The Free plan costs $0. Its allowance is 40 AI-assisted emails each month and one connected mailbox, and no credit card is required.
The prices shown on our website for the paid plans are the current advertised prices. There is no self-service paid checkout, card capture or in-product cancellation flow today: starting a paid service requires separately agreed written terms, and that written agreement will state what the fees are and how a paid subscription starts and ends.
10. Changes, suspension and ending the service
- We may change the service as it develops and may suspend access where necessary for security, legal reasons or abuse.
- You can stop using Right at Hand at any time, disconnect your mailbox, and request export or deletion of your stored data by emailing sales@upweb.com — see Data deletion.
- We may end founding access with reasonable notice; if we do, you can request your data before it is deleted.
11. Warranties and liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law or any other right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Subject to that: the service is provided "as is" during founding access; we exclude other warranties to the extent the law allows; we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss; and our total liability for claims connected with the service is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim or, where you have paid nothing, to re-supplying the service.
Where a consumer guarantee applies and liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our liability is limited to re-supplying the service or paying the cost of re-supply.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts of New South Wales have jurisdiction over disputes connected with them.
